Prompt Height

Defines the height of the typing prompt - auto fills all available space, condensed sets the prompt height to around 3 lines.

If you want the condensed prompt to neatly fit three lines, set the Paragraphs Gap to None.

Caret Style

Caret Speed

"Auto" will adapt the caret speed to your current WPM.

Caret Animation

It controls how the caret accelerates and decelerates. You can preview different behaviors here.

Line Scrolling

Controls how the lines scroll when you reach the middle of the screen.

Show Scrollbar

You can reduce the visual noise by hiding the scrollbar.

Keep In Position

When active, additional margin is added to the bottom of the page, to keep the active line in the position selected in the previous setting.

New Line Indication

When active, the new line character will appear at the end of each paragraph.

Typos Indication

First option is recommended, as it gives the best feedback. If you are not using a monospace font, the second option prevents layout shifts. Last option won't highlight the typos, so it forces you to pay more attention.

Mark Incorrect Words

When active, incorrect words are underlined.

Paragraph Reset

Sets the key for a quick restart of the current paragraph.

Backspace Behavior

Selected option will be used for Backspace, other option will be used for Ctrl+Backspace.

The feature is experimental and can be removed in the future, the default setting (Delete Character) is recommended.

Mark as Read

Marks the paragraph as read when you hit Shift+Enter at the beginning of the paragraph.

Out-of-focus Warning

Shows the warning overlay when the window is out of focus and you can't type.

Auto-pause

Controls when the timer pauses mid-paragraph, i.e. after what amount of time it considers the user AFK.

Daily Goal

The default 15-minute goal is recommended for most users.

Inline Stats

Controls if, and how the inline statas for each paragraph are displayed.

Enable sounds

Keycaps Sound

Keycaps Volume

Keycaps Pitch

Modifies the base pitch of the keycaps. Negative values produce lower sounds, and positive values produce higher sounds.

Keycaps Release Sound

Plays additional sound when the key is released.

Keycaps Special Sounds

Plays dedicated sounds for Space, Backspace and Enter.

Keycaps Sound Trim

If enabled, the keycaps sounds are more immediate, which gives better feedback, at a cost of a slightly less realistic sound.

Errors Sound

The sound that is played when you hit the wrong key.

Export Reminder

Reminds you about backing up your data. Your progress is saved in your browser storage and can be lost if you accidentally clear the site data.

Export Save File

Exports data into the .save file, so you can recover your progress if you clear the browser data, or change a browser/device.

Export Settings File

Exports settings into the .json file, so you can import them on another device/account.

Export Private Books

Exports your private books into single .tbf file, so you can import them on another device / account.

Export Stats Data

Similar to Export Save, but exports the data in a readable JSON format for usage with external apps.

Import Save File

Imports progress from the .save file. The current data and the save data are merged. If you want to load only the progress from the save file, delete current progress first.

Import Settings File

Imports settings from the .json file.

The settings for mobile devices and desktop devices are mostly separate. If you import the settings from desktop on mobile (and vice versa), only the shared settings will be applied.

Delete Progress

Deletes all progress, but preserves the settings.

Reset Settings

Resets the settings to their default values, preserves the progress.

Reset All

Restores the app to its initial state.
